HARVESTING
My name is Zia and I am from Pakistan. I
came to Japan almost 1 year ago. Beautiful country, good nature, humble and loving
people. I found a platform where teachers helping foreigners to teach Japanese
language. Recently we all fellows were invited from our teachers to come for
harvesting. I took part in this, and it was my great experience. Huge number of
people were there with their family and friends. Miss Erina received me from
Umesato station at 9.20am and took me to the site. She was polite and kind. The
place was great atmosphere and everything was well organized. They provide us
an equipment. First of all, they guide us how to use the equipment, and the way
to hold it safely for low chance of injury. Field was ready for cut and it was
pleasant drizzling wheather. They make group of 8 people, and soon we start
cutting. Everything was done at aroumd 12 o clock. We were tired and thirsty. We
took group photo with more than 100 people. This experience reminded me the
life of our farmer brother and sister. Their life is very hard. They need to
work under the sun and in the rain storm. They don't have holiday even they get
sick. They awake early morning before sun rise, and start giving water
plaguing. They look after their filed like a child. A small mistake can destroy
all the field. Government must facilitate more farmer, because they are a back
bone of country. Its our duty that we must aware our kids about farming and
bring them in an actual farm. It was great experience, great memorable day. I
can not forget in my life. I would like to thank our teacher who invite us on
this special day.
